Why Nobel International School Algarve?
Students at Nobel International School Algarve enjoy many educational advantages.
Small class sizes promote optimal achievement. With a low average class size, our students enjoy personalised attention and one-to-one learning. In A Level classes, we strive to limit class size to an average of six students per teacher.
Intensive, personalised English instruction. Our staff of highly qualified specialist teachers provide additional support, differentiated materials and essential one-to-one inductions to English for those who require it.
Opportunities for global exchange. As part of the Nobel Education Network, Nobel Algarve students take part in collaborative learning projects with students around the globe, and can apply to visit, learn and live at other Nobel Schools.
Athletics to promote fitness and teamwork. Nobel Algarve students compete in cross country, tennis, roller-blading, track, football and basketball against local state schools and other international schools in regional and national events.
Drama to build self-confidence. Our students are encouraged to take part in drama productions and attend theatre performances. Drama at GCSE is now a popular and successful exam subject open to all pupils.
Art to inspire the spirit. With four art rooms staffed by dedicated instructors, our students produce a high standard of work. Our pupils’ embroidery has achieved national recognition, while examples of student-designed glazed tiles, a traditional Portuguese craft, are displayed around the school.
Expeditions to reconnect with nature. Classes and student groups regularly venture outside the classroom to explore local flora and fauna and enjoy the many recreational and outdoor education opportunities available in the Algarve. Older students can take part in The Journey of Discovery, a unique outdoor experience designed to build self-awareness, confidence, and teamwork skills.
Science, Information and Communications Technology for the future. Realising the importance of technology knowledge and skills in the twenty-first century, Nobel Algarve requires a high standard of competence in these areas.
Work experience to prepare for success. Every Year 10 student (aged 14-15) takes part in “work experience week,” where they sample a job area, industry or profession, and contribute to a real work environment.
Southern Portugal’s only boarding programme. Nobel Algarve offers an exceptional boarding programme that encourages independence while ensuring student safety and health. Students enjoy comfortable facilities, many amenities and broad selection of social and extracurricular activities.
