A team of Nobel International School Algarve teachers visited the Science Centre of Portugal in Lisbon during Half Term for the 8th ´Teachers´ Night´ event and met the funny and famous Angry Birds! The event, attended by teachers Andreia Rodrigues, Isabel Poço, Rute Oliveira and Sara Soares, brought together some 800 teachers who met between 18h30 and 23h00. The evening involved demonstrations and hands-on scientific activities aimed at students from pre-school to secondary level and was designed to share ideas and good practice for teachers to take back to their schools. Participants had the opportunity to visit a new Angry Birds exhibition which explores scientific activities and which reveals more about national and international educational activities for schools. Portugal is the first country in Europe to be invaded by the most furious birds on the planet – Red, Terence and Stella accompanied teachers on an educational journey! It is a privilege for teachers to attend this event, enabling professionals to have direct contact with colleagues and the latest developments to share with pupils. Through attending events such as this, Nobel International School Algarve teachers are able to keep up to date with the latest developments in how to inspire pupils to study and maybe even follow career choices in scientific fields.
